and sagittal balance allowing a largraft volume for fusion.

LOGIC, from Spine Innovation, is manufactured with OsteoSync porous titanium, which features 60% porosity, an average pore size of 523μm, and an interconnected average pore size of 229 μm - the ideal macro-scale features for significant bone ingrowth. OsteoSync Ti has shown potential for faster healing times and improved implant osseointegration [1] and offers a high coefficient of friction for improved initial implant stability, essential for long-term bone ingrowth.

Spine Innovation was formed to develop an expandable, lumbar interbody fusion implant that restores disc height and sagittal balance while providing a large graft volume for fusion with minimal insertion height for safe transforaminal implantation.
Our products are a collaboration between company engineers and 3 surgeon inventors from Scripps Health (San Diego, CA).
The LOGIC Expandable Interbody System is a TLIF product that has been used successfully in the U.S. with up to 9 years follow up. Our porous titanium lattice implant addition is pending a 510(k) clearance and is currently not available for sale in the US.
LOGIC Titanium is manufactured with OsteoSync porous titanium, with all of the benefits of the original PEEK implant and a streamlined instrument system.
Spine Innovation, LLC is currently seeking U.S. commercial sales and distribution partners to expand clinical use of our LOGIC titanium implant.

Dr. Eastlack is an orthopedic surgeon and spine specialist at Scripps Healthcare in San Diego who focuses on conditions of the neck and back. His areas of expertise include artificial cervical disc replacement surgery, minimally invasive spine procedures, and complex spinal reconstructions.

Dr. Bawa is an orthopedic surgeon at Scripps Healthcare in San Diego who specializes in cervical artificial disc replacement, complex reconstructive spine surgery, cervical spine surgery, eXtreme Lateral Interbody Fusion (XILF), motion preserving surgery and scoliosis treatment.

Dr. Bruffey is an orthopedic surgeon at Scripps Healthcare in San Diego treating many diseases of the musculoskeletal system, specializing in lumbar and cervical disc herniation, scoliosis, and other spinal conditions. His practice includes minimally invasive techniques for spine surgery, including neural decompression and spinal stabilization via fusion.

The LOGIC Expandable Interbody is inserted on its side to minimize the risk of neural injury and is easily rotated 90 degrees in its closed configuration to restore disc height up to 14 mm and lordosis up to 15 degrees. The implant is then expanded 10 mm laterally to create an implant width of 18 mm with a large 10x26 mm graft area that is directly accessible, by the surgeon, for placement of bone graft in the device. Additional bone graft placed contralaterally before implantation is further compacted by implant expansion, enabling a total of 15-20 mL of bone graft placement per fusion level.
This innovative device increases the implant profile in height, lordotic angle and footprint in situ. The bone graft window and filling aperture are among the largest of all expandable TLIF devices available today. Implant stability and resistance to subsidence and expulsion are also maximized by the lateral expansion of the device.
LOGIC implants are sold in individual sterile packages.
The streamlined LOGIC instrument set (shown below) includes only sizing trials with a universal inserter and an implant expansion device. The set is ideal for easy cleaning and reprocessing in a surgery center.
